The Ernest Simmons VFW Post 6722 conducted its Veterans Day Buddy Poppy drive on 7 – 8 November 2020 at three locations in Lillington. Members of the post greeted customers at the Food Lion at The Square in Lillington; the Food Lion at W. Cornelius Harnett Blvd; and Womble’s Hardware Store to humbly ask for contributions to the VFW Relief Fund. The generous patrons of those locations contributed over $1000 to the relief fund. The members of Ernest Simmons VFW Post 6722 would like to express our thanks and gratitude to all those patrons who contributed.

The Ernest Simmons VFW Post 6722 would also like to give a special acknowledgment to the management and staffs of Food Lion at The Square in Lillington; the Food Lion at W. Cornelius Harnett Blvd; and Womble’s Hardware Store for their cooperation in allowing VFW Post 6722 the use of their venues to conduct our Veteran’s Day Buddy Poppy.
