Senior Vice Commander Delbert McCoy and Post Adjutant Michael McGrath awarded Certificates of Appreciation to several local establishments in Lillington, NC for their unwavering support of VFW Post 6722 during the post’s November Buddy Poppy Drive. The drive collected over $1000 for the Post Relief Fund during the weekend prior to Veterans Day. Post members conducted the drive at Womble & Sons Inc., the Food Lion at The Square in Lillington, and the Food Lion along W. Cornelius Harnett Blvd. Accepting the award for Womble & Sons was Ray Womble, the owner and longtime supporter of Post 6722. Accepting for the Food Lion on W. Cornelius Blvd was the store manager Mr. Kris Kenny. In addition, accepting for the Food Lion at the Square in Lillingtion was store manager Mr. Brannon Morris. It is with deep appreciation and gratitude that VFW Post 6722 thanks these fine Lillington establishments for their ongoing support. And last but not least, VFW Post 6722 thanks the shoppers who patronize these establishments for their generosity.
